99% of domestic violence cases involve financial abuse. 

By cutting off the victim's access to bank accounts, ruining their credit and even prohibiting them from getting a job, abusers maintain a frightening degree of control over their victim's lives and make independence for the victim nearly impossible.

By cutting off the victim's access to bank accounts, ruining their credit and even prohibiting them from getting a job, abusers maintain a frightening degree of control over their victim's lives and make independence for the victim nearly impossible. 

I had this idea to use Facebook Messenger as a platform to help victims begin their journey toward independence, allowing victims to build a slush fund accessible only to them which they will access once they decide to leave their abusers without fear of financial retribution.

Facebook Messenger has a couple features making it ideal for this application: 
•It features secret messages (end-to-end encryption and disappearing text)
•It facilitates financial transactions
•Chatbots relay information instantaneously upon query, giving victims access to the tools and services they need.

I've been developing the idea myself and intend on partnering with coders, nonprofits, and any other entity that could make this possible.
(It isn't intended for any brands.)
